The Pond has hosted Thursday Trivia Challenge for more than a decade, resulting in a database of thousands of questions.  We try to keep our Trivia fresh, fun and a bit irreverent. The game begins at 6:30pm and we encourage teams to come in early for dinner and our HALF PRICE WINE by the bottle special.   Here's how our Thursday Trivia Challenge works:   Round 1, five questions each worth 5 points, one chance to double down in the round   Mini-Jump Ahead, one question having two or three correct answers, each correct answer typically worth 5 points. RoastJohn

Ocean City, Maryland is the home of the four-piece band RoastJohn, that recently completed their self-titled debut album RoastJohn. The band members are Nick French (vocals/keyboards), Otto Grundman (guitar/vocals), Logan Rodriquez (drums/vocals) and Matt Smith (bass/vocals). Musically they identify as rock, folk rock, instrumental, jam and psychedelic with elements of funk and jazz. For influences they cite Pink Floyd, Phish and Yes. These tracks were recorded in just one day at Mid South Audio in Delaware. After a Covid lockdown delay, final mixing and mastering was performed by Conner Poole at Trendy Bread in Nashville. 

Divas of One Love

Who are the DIVAS of One Love? Kelly Boyle and PJ Brown. Together with their band, these two ladies can sing! Their range and versatility is unsurpassed. Founded in 1993, the band plays mainly in the tri-state area (DE, PA, NJ). The Divas of One Love are known for their medleys, soulful harmonies and eclectic selection. Catch them Live! Taylor Knox

Taylor Knox is a guitarist and musician from Bethany Beach, Delaware where he has been playing guitar as well as multiple other instruments since he was nine years old.  He has also spent years songwriting and teaching music lessons. Taylor attended four years at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Professional Music.  He is currently performing around the eastern shore of Delaware and Maryland while teaching private music lessons for many instruments including but not limited to guitar, bass, and piano. Along with Taylor's solo experience in performing, he is also works with:

B.J.’s Damn Jam Crew

  BJ's Damn Jam Crew is the culmination of years of musical experiences and friendships, many formed during Rehoboth Open Mic nights. The crew is B.J. Muntz, Manny Tejeda, Mike Littlejohn and Larry Yonkins. Together, they are a veritable jukebox of music.   The band's home is The Pond Bar & Grill and they perform every Wednesday beginning at 9:30PM. The first hour of each performance is "challenge the band". Toss out songs or artists (be reasonable) and they most likely will not only know the song but knock it out of the park.

Ryan Zimmerman

Ryan Zimmerman is a singer/songwriter from Long Beach Island NJ. He is a roots musician dedicated to his craft of songwriting and performing live. Ryan started his music career on the Jersey Shore,where he currently calls home. An avid music fan and performer Ryan draws his influence from early roots performers up to todays consummate guitar players and singers. His windmill rhythmic guitar style is reminiscent of Ritchie Havens and his deep room filling voice summons Mark Sandman. Ryan has toured extensively on both coasts opening for Zach Deputy, The Hope Social Club, Michael Allman, American Trappist and Marshall Crenshaw.
