In Leedom Estates as early as 1969 various members of Beef Band started playing music together in someone’s parents' garage or basement driving some neighbors crazy to the point of calling police to stop the "racket" and to remove the 50 or so young people hanging around outside enjoying the show. Band members came and went and some came back. Between 1972 and 1973,they decided to get serious and deemed themselves very lucky to find a great singer who was 5 years their senior but liked their music.
