Bored one day, Jackson Vari picked up his father’s old guitar and taught himself how to play. After learning a few songs, he started writing his own music. Early influences include Todd Snider, Jackie Greene and Hayes Carll. Once in college, Jackson began honing his craft at open mic nights. At Wesley, he performed with Wesley College Jazz Band. Self described as a folk singer with pretentions, Jackson is the guitarist for Delmarva favorite Surreal Nation and has begun performing solo at The Pond.
